Concrete patio was broken up and re-used in this rear yard San Jose garden installed in 2010 to create step stones and low walls. Stone boulders were added into the stacked concrete piece walls for a natural look. Evergreen Coffeeberry bushes were planted to provide year round structure to the space. Light green Yerba Buena has a minty smell and billows over the low stacked concrete wall. In the main area of the yard, a lawn was removed and ground cover Strawberry forms the green substitute. The backyard features two fountains for habitat value and pleasing sound.
